Summary

Having had a lifelong interest in storytelling, I read and wrote a lot of fiction as a child. I later intuited that illustration, with a focus on world building, is a natural progression from writing, and began to teach myself illustration in earnest, drawing upon various resources.

In pursuit of crafting intricate narratives, I seek to bring to the table an illustration style that is informed by a foundation in realism and, thus, versatility in the production pipeline. I also have a design philosophy founded on functionality that embraces the principle of “Form follows function“.

I am also inspired by a wide spectrum of media-- from classical literature to niche animation styles. While building on my experiences during both work and play, I have since developed a style that is an amalgamation of both oriental aesthetics and western naturalism.
